The National Development and Reform Commission is stepping up the formulation of energy-saving and environmental protection industry planning

The energy-saving and environmental protection industry includes energy conservation, resource recycling and environmental protection, involving energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and equipment, products and services. At present, the National Development and Reform Commission has begun to solicit opinions from relevant departments on the above plan. Data show that in 2008, the total output value of the national energy-saving and environmental protection industry reached 1.41 trillion yuan, accounting for 4.7% of the GDP that year.
